Case Study: Parker achieves $2M in server-cost savings and $600K/year energy savings with 1E

A 1E Case Study

Preview of the Parker Case Study

Parker saves more than $2 million by building a more efficient IT infrastructure

Parker, a global manufacturer with more than $10 billion in annual sales and 52,000+ employees across 48 countries, needed to streamline its IT systems management to improve reliability, cut waste and maximize existing investments. The IT team faced power‑wasting PCs, unused software licenses, time‑consuming updates and a costly server footprint that drove help‑desk demand and ongoing infrastructure expenses.

Parker deployed 1E’s integrated suite—Nomad, NightWatchman Enterprise and Shopping—working with Microsoft ConfigMgr to optimize software distribution, power management and self‑service. The project removed the need for 458 servers, delivered an immediate ~$2 million reduction in server costs, saves roughly $600k annually in energy (reducing electricity use by over six million kWh), improved out‑of‑hours patching success and cut help‑desk requests.
