Schneider Electric, a global energy-management and automation specialist with over 120,000 computer users in about 100 countries, faced a complex Windows 10 migration that exposed long-standing software distribution and application-compatibility challenges. To prepare, the company needed to upgrade to Configuration Manager 2012 and provide end users with a compatibility tool to enable a smooth, large-scale rollout.
Schneider deployed 1E Nomad alongside the SCCM upgrade and developed a multilingual self-evaluation portal to report application compatibility. Nomad optimized bandwidth, enabled decommissioning of roughly 400 distribution points (cutting infrastructure complexity by about 90%), delivered minimal user disruption, and is estimated to save up to €100,000 per year in maintenance and related costs.
