NCTIR Rebuilding a Network Where Mountains Meet the Sea

The customer, NCTIR, was formed to rebuild the critical road and rail network on New Zealand's South Island after it was devastated by the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake. Faced with massive landslides, ground displacement, and extensive damage, their immense challenge was to manage mountains of project data and reconnect isolated communities in an unprecedented timeframe. They turned to the vendor, 12d Synergy, for a solution.

12d Synergy was implemented to manage and distribute the vast amounts of data collected from the reconstruction effort for over 300 staff. Using 12d Synergy and 12d Model innovatively, NCTIR successfully rebuilt 190km of road and rail in a narrow, treacherous corridor in just one year, one month, and one day, reconnecting communities and completing the massive $2B project.
