Premise is a full-service engineering, design, and management consultancy with more than 150 staff across 13 offices in Australia, Vietnam, and Papua New Guinea. They needed a better way to manage CAD workflow, version control, QA, and multi-office collaboration, especially because files were being zipped, transferred, and manually updated between locations, creating delays and errors. They used 12d Synergy as a common data environment to replace slow VPN access and reduce confusion over the latest drawings and references.

12d Synergy provided Premise with centralized document control, check-in/check-out versioning, CAD attribute management, PDF publishing, and issuing workflows integrated with AutoCAD and 12d Model. This enabled server-side updates, automatic transmittals, stronger QA, and easier collaboration across offices and disciplines. The results included a $20,000 monthly travel saving, about $240,000 a year, a 40% reduction in IT costs after moving to Azure cloud, smoother remote working during COVID-19, and successful ISO 9001 recertification.
