Major player in the Kelvin Grove vision - Connell Wagner (now Aurecon)

Aurecon, formerly known as Connell Wagner, faced significant challenges in designing the infrastructure for Brisbane's Kelvin Grove Urban Village. The project aimed to create a new, environmentally sensitive community on a complex site that was extremely undulating, contained contaminated material, and featured heritage areas that needed preservation. The consultant required a solution to quickly model numerous design options, calculate cuts and fills, and clearly visualize the finished product for all stakeholders. They used 12d Model to address these challenges.

The solution from 12d Solutions was instrumental. Using 12d Model, the team could rapidly generate and modify designs, create visual perspectives for laypeople, manage complex stormwater system integration, and map contaminated areas to prove remediation plans. This capability was critical for gaining approvals from the Brisbane City Council and the Department of Defence. The model being described as invaluable for demonstrating the finished surface and ensuring public safety.
