The customer, Studio 26 (formerly Gary Pidd Architect Ltd), faced the challenge of efficiently surveying over 200 school sites for New Zealand's Ministry of Education. As first-time users with no prior surveying software experience, they needed a highly accurate and automated solution to replace their slow manual methods. They turned to the vendor, 12d Solutions, and its 12d Model software.

12d Solutions provided a combined solution of 12d Model software and Sokkia surveying instruments. This system automatically coded and colored field data upon download, eliminating manual drafting. The solution saved the firm an estimated 20% in time and provided the necessary accuracy other technologies could not. As a result of this successful implementation, Studio 26 plans to use 12d Model for all future work and will never return to its old manual equipment.
