Dalton Consulting Engineers, a land development design consultancy, faced a challenge in reconstructing a closed-loop dog racing track with complex spiral transitions. Using the 12d Solutions software, they needed to calculate the exact spiral lengths to connect the track's fixed arcs and straights, a problem that was difficult to solve with traditional methods.

The solution was implemented using 12d Solutions' new Super Alignment editor, which directly calculated the required transition spiral length and eliminated the need for a trial-and-error approach. This tool also allowed for the precise placement of the zero chainage point to align with a photo finish camera. The result was an efficient and accurate design process for the Dapto Race Track.
