Barwon Water, a major water supplier in Victoria, needed to accurately determine the water storage capacity and volume within its reservoirs. Their challenge was to create precise depth-storage curves, which required building a highly accurate 3D model of the reservoir, including the difficult-to-survey areas below the waterline.

12d Solutions provided a solution using their 12d Model software, which was integrated with CEEMAN hydrographic software, GPS, and a boat for data collection. The 12d Model software was used to prepare navigation track lines and process extensive survey data, enabling a efficient and successful hydrographic survey. The result was a complete and accurate reservoir model for the West Barwon Dam, allowing Barwon Water to generate the precise depth-storage curves needed for immediate and reliable volume calculations.
