IDBS is a UK-based global provider of enterprise data management and analytics for R&D organizations, with roughly 300 employees worldwide. Facing rapid growth, the company needed to upgrade its Microsoft Exchange environment and ensure high availability and business-class connectivity to its internal network via Masergy’s global MPLS — a requirement most public cloud vendors could not easily meet.

IDBS selected iland, a Masergy Marketplace partner, and used iland CloudConnect to link its VMware environment to the iland public cloud over Masergy’s private network. IDBS now runs Exchange, CRM, its website and sales vApps in the hybrid cloud, gaining low latency, stronger security, consistent performance, reduced downtime and cost-effective management — with critical apps remaining available even during onsite outages.
