Ignis Asset Management, a UK investment manager with about £67.6bn in assets under management, was running VMware Horizon View but faced complexity and performance issues with HP Windows Embedded thin clients. Managing two desktops (local and virtual) created support overhead, caused latency and confusing user workflows, and made specialist peripherals difficult to integrate; Ignis also needed reliable dual- and quad-monitor support.

Ignis replaced the fleet with 10ZiG V1200 TERA2 PCoIP Zero Clients, chosen after testing multiple vendors. The V1200s delivered plug-and-play USB peripheral support, improved responsiveness, and native multi-monitor capability; deployment of about 200 units plus free PCoIP Manager simplified firmware updates and management. Results included halved log-in times and a drop in boot-to-desktop from 2.5 minutes to under one minute, reduced admin overhead, and positive user and support-team feedback.
