A 10ZiG Case Study
Falmouth University, a specialist creative institution, needed to modernise its desktop estate as part of a wider move to VMware Horizon View. The university sought secure, easily managed, energy‑efficient endpoints that met PCI DSS requirements, supported varied USB peripherals for key business users, reduced IT management overhead and aligned with campus sustainability goals.
They deployed 10ZiG V1200 TERA2 PCoIP Zero Clients and the PCoIP Manager, rolling out roughly 100 devices beginning with administrators and PAs. The result was faster, more secure VDI access, full USB passthrough, greatly simplified provisioning and firmware management (seconds vs ~15 minutes), strong vendor support, and dramatic energy savings—around an 80% reduction per desktop (from ~70W to ~6W)—prompting a change to procurement policy and positive user feedback.
